HTS-multichannel-system for magnetocardiography and magnetoencephalography

چکیده
A new, small biomagnetic system with 8 channels operating at 77 K has been constructed. In the gantry inside the magnetically shielded room it can be shifted to five positions so that up to 40 positions can be measured successively. We employ low noise dc-SQUID magnetometers from high-temperature superconductors (HTS) to demonstrate mapping measurements of cardiac fields and measurements of somatosensory evoked signals. We compare our signals to measurements on the same volunteer with a conventional Helium cooled system based on dcSQUIDs.

Double Relaxation Oscillation SQUID Systems for Biomagnetic Multichannel Measurements
Multichannel superconducting quantum interference device (SQUID) systems based on double relaxation oscillation SQUIDs (DROS) were developed for measuring magnetocardiography (MCG) and magnetoencephalography (MEG) signals. Since DROS provides large fluxto-voltage transfer coefficients, about 10 times larger than the DC SQUIDs, direct readout of the SQUID output was possible using compact roomte...

Development and Applications of SQUIDs in Korea
As sensitive magnetic sensors, magnetometers based on superconducting quantum interference devices can be used for the detection of weak magnetic fields. These signals can be generated by diverse origins, for example, brain electric activity, myocardium electric activity, and nuclear precession of hydrogen protons. In addition, weak current induced in the low-temperature detectors, for example,...

In this paper, we review the preparation technology, integration in measurement systems and tests of high-Tc superconducting quantum interference devices (SQUIDs) intended for biomagnetic applications. A focus is on developments specific to Forschungszentrum Jülich GmbH, Chalmers University of Technology, MedTech West, and the University of Gothenburg, while placing these results in the perspec...
متن کاملComparison of magnetocardiography and electrocardiography: a study of automatic measurement of dispersion of ventricular repolarization.
AIMS There is some dispute over the clinical significance of dispersion of ventricular repolarization measurements from the electrocardiogram. Recent studies have indicated that multichannel magnetocardiograms (MCGs), which non-invasively measure cardiac magnetic field strength from many sites above the body surface, may provide independent information from ECGs about ventricular repolarization...
